Markington residents mainly saw Christine every day whilst David was busy in the surrounding villages. Despite the unpredictable Yorkshire weather, they never missed a delivery, even when other more modern delivery services couldn't make it, there was still milk on the doorstep every morning. They were never in a rush and often stopped to chat with the villagers; becoming part of the fabric of their communities, even being described as “local legends”!

When those that are in need can’t get out and get their own essentials, David and Christine are there for them. They know all about the people they deliver to and will often check on the welfare of the sick or the elderly. Delivering milk is not just a job to them, it’s a way of life.
